Social Media Intern
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- The Social Media Intern will support the Marketing and Communications team in implementing social media strategies to achieve FATE Foundation’s marketing objectives.
- This includes creating and posting engaging content, managing social media channels, monitoring performance metrics, and assisting in the execution of campaigns to strengthen the foundation’s online presence, grow its audience, and drive engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and curate engaging content (written, visual and video) to enhance brand awareness and drive engagement.
- Manage FATE Foundation’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Brainstorm, plan, and execute social media campaigns to increase engagement, website traffic, and conversions.
- Track, analyze, and report social media metrics, such as engagement rates, follower growth, impressions, and campaign results.
- Create visuals (graphics, videos) to support the campaign.
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand, business, or creative project.
- Must provide a portfolio or examples of previous work that demonstrate strong aesthetics, visual consistency, and creative execution.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Later, Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and design/editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut).
- Strong copywriting, storytelling, and visual communication skills.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and optimize strategies.
- Passion for creativity, trends, and building meaningful online communities.
Salary
N3,600,000 annually (net).
