Outdoor Lounge Manager

Role Objective
- The Outdoor Lounge Manager is responsible for the seamless execution of service in an open-air environment.
- They must balance the "vibe" and aesthetic of the venue with rigorous operational standards, ensuring the lounge remains a premier destination for both residents and international travelers.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Operations & Atmosphere:
- Venue Readiness: Ensure all outdoor elements (pools, fire pits, cabanas, and terraces) are set to luxury standards daily.
- Climate Management: Act as the primary decision-maker for weather-related transitions, ensuring guest comfort and asset protection during rain, wind, or extreme heat.
- Entertainment Coordination: Collaborate with DJs or live performers to maintain the specific "energy" of the lounge throughout day and night shifts.
Talent & Cultural Leadership:
- Team Development: Lead a diverse team of servers and bartenders, fostering a culture of excellence and mutual respect.
- Training: Implement international service standards while respecting local customs and communication styles.
- Labor Efficiency: Manage complex scheduling that accounts for seasonal peaks and fluctuations in guest volume.
Guest Relations & Networking:
- Community Integration: (High priority for Local candidates) Leverage local networks to drive "resident" traffic and handle local regulatory/vendor relationships.
- International Appeal: (High priority for Expatriate candidates) Utilize global hospitality trends and multi-language skills to cater to high-net-worth international tourists.
- VIP Management: Oversee the guest list and table reservations, ensuring high-touch service for regular patrons and celebrities.
Financial & Inventory Oversight:
- Cost Control: Monitor beverage par levels and reduce breakage (often higher in outdoor settings).
- Revenue Management: Maximize "per-head" spend through strategic upselling of premium bottle service and signature outdoor dining menus.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Guest Satisfaction Scores: (TripAdvisor, Revinate, or internal surveys).
- Revenue vs. Budget: Successful management of the P&L.
- Employee Retention: Maintaining a motivated and stable service team.
- Safety Compliance: Zero incidents regarding outdoor hazards or food safety.
Candidate Requirements
Experience:
- Local Candidate Profile: Strong knowledge of the local market, suppliers, and labor laws.
- Expatriate Candidate Profile: Experience in major global hubs (e.g., Dubai, Ibiza, Mykonos, Miami).
Language:
- Local Candidate Profile: Native fluency in the local language and proficient English.
- Expatriate Candidate Profile: Multi-lingual (English plus 2+ other major languages).
Strengths:
- Local Candidate Profile: Established connections with local VIPs and influencers.
- Expatriate Candidate Profile: Expert knowledge of international luxury service trends.
Legal:

Professional Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience in 5-star environments.
- Technical: Proficiency in POS systems (e.g., Micros, Simphony) and reservation software (e.g., SevenRooms, OpenTable).
- Compliance: Deep understanding of health, safety, and alcohol licensing regulations.
