Transport Service Lead
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Transport Service Lead to oversee and manage our transport operations. The successful candidate will ensure efficient service delivery, fleet management, driver supervision, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards while maintaining high service quality and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Secure Weekly Transport Requirement to Vendor(M+1), (W+1), (W+3).
Guides to all outbound channels & allocation to ensure selection of the right type of truck based on VSO(CBM or Tonnage).
Plan & Track Secured transport availability from vendor for D+1 & W+1 requirement.
Responsible for route identification and evaluation.
Analyse & Conduct surveys related to freight cost,maintenance/service variable cost, road assessment etc.
Maintain Vendor Database Profile: Financial, truck/route strength, number of trucks, number of drivers, weaknesses organization they are previously working and other market price situation .
Regular Benchmarking of rates, cost and other market price situations.
Regular checking for Actual supply from vendor vs Forecast/Booked.
Cross checking and verification of prepared documents and invoice by admin.
Align & Assist warehouse team,sales team on their daily shipment issues and concern .
Requirements
2+ years hands on experience in FMCG, Strong background in logistics and Business Management
Proven experience in transport, logistics, or fleet operations (leadership role preferred)
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Good knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards
Excellent communication and reporting skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge & experience in SAP business solutions is a plus
