Job Summary
- The Further Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction, particularly in advanced and IGCSE Further Mathematics.
- The role involves preparing students for academic excellence, fostering analytical thinking, and supporting learners to achieve outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Mathematics and Further Mathematics (IGCSE curriculum)
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations
- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials
- Assess, record, and report students’ academic progress
- Provide extra support to students who require additional help
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the classroom
- Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles
- Participate in school meetings, training, and extracurricular activities
- Integrate technology into teaching and learning where applicable.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education (Mathematics), or a related field
- IGCSE Further Mathematics certification is an added advantage
- Teaching certification (TRCN) is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 2–3 years teaching experience in Mathematics or Further Mathematics
- Experience with IGCSE or similar international curriculum is highly preferred
- Proven track record of preparing students for external exams.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Mathematics and Further Mathematics concepts
- Excellent teaching and communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex mathematical ideas
- Classroom management and organizational skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Patience and passion for teaching
- Proficiency in basic ICT tools.

Remuneration
- Salary: N80,000 - N150,000 per month.
- Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications
