Accountant

Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support effective financial management within the hospital.
- The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, preferably with experience in the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Manage hospital revenue, including HMO payments, patient billing, and cash collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor daily financial transactions.
- Ensure proper documentation of expenses and financial activities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor budgets and provide financial analysis to management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements and tax regulations.
- Coordinate with internal departments on financial matters.
- Assist in audit preparations and respond to audit queries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA or in view) is an added advantage.
- 3–5 years accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of HMO billing and healthcare financial systems is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
