Experienced Live-Out / Live-In Nanny (Infant Care Specialist)

Job Summary
- We are seeking a mature, experienced, and nurturing nanny to care for a 6-month-old baby in a private household.
- The ideal candidate will be energetic, gentle, and attentive, with a strong understanding of infant development and care.
- This role requires someone who is physically agile, emotionally warm, and proactive in engaging the child in daily developmental activities.
Responsibilities
Infant Care & Development:
- Provide attentive, loving, and safe care for the baby at all times
- Support the baby’s developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities
- Engage the baby in supervised tummy time to promote physical development
- Read storybooks and communicate frequently to encourage early language skills
- Maintain a consistent daily routine (feeding, naps, playtime)
Physical Activity & Outdoor Engagement:
- Take the baby out daily in a stroller/pram for fresh air and stimulation
- Be comfortable moving around the house and going downstairs regularly with the baby
- Ensure safe handling and mobility while carrying or transporting the child
Hygiene & Cleanliness:
- Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and cleanliness
- Keep the baby’s environment (room, toys, feeding items) clean and organized
- Handle baby laundry and ensure proper sanitization of feeding equipment
General Care Duties:
- Monitor the baby’s health and report any concerns promptly
- Ensure the baby is always comfortable, clean, and well-fed
- Assist with establishing and maintaining sleep routines
- Follow parental guidance and household rules
- Required Skills & Qualities:
- Proven experience caring for infants (especially under 1 year old)
- Energetic and physically fit (able to handle stroller walks and mobility tasks)
- Gentle, patient, and nurturing personality
- Clean, organized, and detail-oriented
- Hardworking and proactive with minimal supervision
- Emotionally mature and reliable
- Agile and able to move around easily (not restricted to staying in one room)
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in childcare, early childhood education, or related field
- First Aid/CPR certification (added advantage)
- Experience working in a private home setting
- Age Preference: Mid-30s to 45
Work Expectations:
- Flexibility with routine as the baby grows
- Willingness to actively engage rather than remain idle
- Ability to take initiative in planning the baby’s daily activities.
Salary
N120,000 - N160,000 Monthly.
