Account Officer - Manufacturing (Berger Axis)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer to support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day accounting operations
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Prepare and post journal entries, invoices, and perform bank reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations
• Assist with tax computations and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
• Manage and prepare import valuation process reports
• Monitor inventory transactions and cost accounting entries
• Assist in budget preparation and perform variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and procedures
• Maintain a basic understanding of Quality and Food Safety requirements, including personal hygiene policies and departmental operational control procedures to ensure product/service conformity.

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Must be a student member of ICAN
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

• 3 - 4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.

Salary

N300,000 - N400,000 monthly.
