Senior Finance Officer

Role Overview
- We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance Officer to oversee key financial operations and ensure strong financial management within a growing financial services organization.
- The ideal candidate will be a hands-on finance professional with strong experience across financial reporting, accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial analysis.
- This role requires someone who can manage multiple finance functions while providing accurate financial insights to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Manage financial accounting activities including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing
- Oversee bank and payment account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements including tax filings, VAT, withholding tax, and regulatory submissions
- Support external audit processes and coordinate documentation for financial reviews
- Monitor daily cash flow and manage treasury-related activities
- Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable
- Develop financial reports, forecasts, and financial models to support management decision-making
- Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 6 - 8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles
- Experience within financial services, fintech, banking, or regulated financial institutions is an advantage.
Certifications & Technical Skills:
- ICAN (ACA) or ACCA qualification is required
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools
- Good understanding of IFRS standards, tax compliance, and financial reporting frameworks.
Salary
N1,000,000 Monthly + Other Benefits.
