Location: Abuja
Job Summary
- The Physical and Health Education Teacher is responsible for promoting students’ physical fitness, health awareness, and overall well being through structured physical activities and health education.
- The teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ motor skills, teamwork, discipline, and healthy lifestyle habits.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver PHE lessons in line with the school curriculum
- Teach physical activities such as athletics, games, fitness exercises, and sports skills
- Educate students on health topics such as personal hygiene, nutrition, safety, and disease prevention
- Organize and supervise sports activities, inter house sports, and competitions
- Assess and evaluate students’ physical skills, participation, and progress
- Ensure the safety of students during all physical activities and use of equipment
- Maintain discipline and encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play
- Identify and nurture students with outstanding sporting abilities
- Keep accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Collaborate with other staff to promote students’ overall development.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical and Health Education or related field
- Teaching certification or relevant education qualification
- 2 to 3 years teaching experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of sports, fitness, and health education
- Good classroom and field management skills
- Ability to motivate and engage students of different abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- First aid knowledge is an added advantage.
Work Environment:
- School setting, including classrooms, sports fields, and outdoor environments

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 / month.
