Senior Accountant

Job Summary
- Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting, manage day-to-day accounting operations, and support business performance through budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- The role will also be responsible for strengthening financial controls, supporting audit processes, and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial management across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial and management accounts, including monthly reporting for the business unit
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including credit control activities
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and year-end reporting
- Develop annual budgets and conduct periodic (monthly/quarterly) performance reviews against targets
- Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and controls
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audit activities
- Conduct financial forecasting and analysis to support business growth initiatives
- Collaborate closely with Financial Reporting leadership to resolve accounting and reporting issues
- Support cash flow planning, monitoring, and control
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and duties as required by management
Requirements
- Bsc in Accounting
- Professional qualification (ACCA or ACA) is required
- Strong analytical, numeric and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite
- Strong accounting and book-keeping skills
- Proficiency in the use of accounting softwares
- Detail orientation.
Salary
N500,000 - N800,000 / month.
