Description
- We are hiring a detail-oriented Accountant for a licensed unit microfinance bank.
- The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience within a unit microfinance bank and a strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- This role requires someone currently working in the microfinance space who can effectively manage financial records, statutory remittances, and reporting in line with CBN guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger postings
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports
- Handle statutory remittances (PAYE, VAT, WHT, pensions)
- Ensure compliance with CBN regulations and internal policies
- Perform account reconciliations and support audit processes
- Manage payroll and support financial control processes
Requirements
- BSc / HND in Accounting or related field
- 2–5 years experience in a unit microfinance bank (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax, and compliance
- ICAN certification (or in view) is an added advantage
- Experience with core banking systems is a plus
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 / Month.
