Job Summary
- We are seeking a responsible and skilled Ambulance Driver to transport patients safely and efficiently to and from medical facilities.
- The successful candidate will ensure timely emergency response while maintaining patient comfort and adhering to road safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive ambulances safely and responsibly to transport patients, medical staff, or equipment.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and hospital requests.
- Ensure that patients are transported in a safe, comfortable, and timely manner.
- Assist paramedics or healthcare staff in loading and unloading patients when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the ambulance.
- Perform routine checks on the vehicle, including fuel, oil, brakes, tires, and emergency equipment.
- Keep accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, and ambulance maintenance.
- Follow traffic laws, hospital protocols, and safety regulations at all times.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with professional/heavy vehicle endorsement.
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience driving ambulances or similar vehicles is preferred.
- Knowledge of traffic rules, emergency response routes, and road safety.
- Physically fit and able to assist with patient loading if needed.
- Responsible, reliable, and punctual.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid or Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
- Experience working in a hospital or emergency medical environment.
