Job Summary
- We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Pharmacist to manage the dispensing of medications, counsel patients on proper drug use, and ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals within our facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
- Counsel patients on the proper use of medications, possible side effects, and interactions.
- Monitor inventory of medicines and ensure timely restocking.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and controlled substances.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Provide advice on over-the-counter medications, supplements, and health products.
- Participate in quality assurance and safety programs within the pharmacy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or Pharm.D).
- Valid practicing license from the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, dosages, and drug interactions.
- Excellent communication and patient counselling skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience working in a hospital, community pharmacy, or clinical setting.
- Knowledge of inventory management and pharmacy software.
