Role Overview
- We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Real Estate Accountant who can bring structure, financial intelligence, and operational discipline to a growing real estate enterprise.

- The Senior Real Estate Accountant will oversee full-cycle accounting operations, financial controls, commission structures, reconciliations, reporting accuracy, and compliance across multiple business units.
- You will work closely with executive leadership to provide financial visibility, support strategic decisions, and ensure scalable accounting processes are implemented across branches.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Oversight:
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations (A/R, A/P, general ledger, reconciliations)
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
- Prepare executive-level financial reports and performance dashboards
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
Revenue & Commission Management:
- Oversee sales receivables, associate commissions, and compensation structures
- Ensure accurate tracking of property transactions and revenue recognition
- Monitor cash flow and forecasting across projects and branches
Operational & Process Optimization:
- Design scalable accounting processes to support multi-state expansion
- Improve reporting efficiency and financial transparency
- Oversee purchasing controls and expense management
- Supervise banking operations and vendor management
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Construction, and Operations teams
- Support franchise and branch financial reporting
- Guide junior accounting staff where applicable
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (real estate or property accounting strongly preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Proven experience managing commission-based revenue structures
- Advanced Excel proficiency (financial modeling, pivot tables, forecasting)
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Familiarity with property management software (Yardi or similar platforms)
- Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-growth environment
Preferred Credentials:
- ICAN / ACCA certification (or in progress)
- Experience in real estate development, construction accounting, or multi-entity operations
- Experience implementing accounting systems or process improvements.
