National / Continental Cook
Location: Ilupeju / Palm Grove, Lagos.
Description
- A National / Continental Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of local (national) and international (continental) dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of local and continental dishes according to the restaurant or hotel menu.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet the establishment’s standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper hygiene in the kitchen in line with food safety regulations.
- Manage food preparation, seasoning, and cooking processes efficiently.
- Monitor food stock levels and report shortages to the kitchen supervisor or management.
- Ensure proper storage of food items and ingredients to avoid spoilage and wastage.
- Assist in menu planning and development when required.
- Ensure timely preparation of meals, especially during busy service periods.
- Follow all health, safety, and kitchen procedures.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with experience.
