Job Purpose
- To ensure effective service delivery and efficient processing of all transactions in Banking Operations within the stipulated TAT.
- Assist with GH operations in the banking operations function relating to Central Operations, Settlement Operations, Treasury Operations and Electronic Banking Operations (Mobile/Internet & USSD).
Key Responsibilities
- To Support the operations team in executing transactions as it relates to the entire Operations of the Bank.
- Daily proofs & effective reconciliation of Inward and Outward electronic fund transfers GLs Accounts.
- Monitor, raise and post accurate settlement entries of payment channels/transfers into respective GLs, income, charges and Merchant POS transactions into Client accounts as applicable.
- Reconciliation and settlement of all payments and transfers done using various electronic platforms (Internet/Web, Mobile & USSD).
- Review on daily basis transactions done via the bank application vis a vis the switching company.
- Manual reversals of failed transactions to customers account upon approval.
- Daily escalation of any open items due to system issues or errors from Settlement team to GHOPs.
- And any other task that might be assigned from time to time.
Education and Training Program
- Minimum of First Degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance or related discipline.
- A professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Skills Necessary for Job Function:
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Sound understanding of products and operational processes of all key businesses in the Bank.
- Strong written/oral communication skills.
- Good understanding of presentation skills and MS Office.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-graduation experience in Banking Operations.
