Procurement Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the diagnostic centre’s operational needs.
  • Prepare and manage the procurement budget in collaboration with finance and department heads.
  • Forecast supply needs based on operational demands and patient volume.

Vendor Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers for medical equipment, laboratory reagents, consumables, and general supplies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable delivery.
  • Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews.

Purchasing and Contract Management:

  • Source and procure diagnostic equipment, reagents, pharmaceuticals, consumables, and office supplies.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and value for money.
  • Ensure procurement processes follow organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Inventory Coordination:

  • Work closely with the inventory/store unit to ensure optimal stock levels of medical supplies and reagents.
  • Monitor stock usage trends to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
  • Support inventory audits and stock reconciliation processes.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Ensure all procured medical supplies and equipment meet regulatory standards and quality specifications.
  • Verify that suppliers comply with relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure documentation and procurement records are properly maintained.

Cost Control and Reporting:

  • Track procurement expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Prepare procurement reports and analysis for management review.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in procurement activities.

Collaboration with Clinical and Administrative Units:

  • Liaise with laboratory, radiology, nursing, and administrative teams to understand supply needs.
  • Ensure timely procurement of specialized diagnostic reagents and equipment required for clinical operations.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree with 3-6 years experience.
