Role Overview
Our client is a fast-growing passenger transport and courier logistics company seeking a strategic and commercially driven Director of Finance to join the board and play a key leadership role in shaping the financial future of the business.
This is a strategic and operational leadership position for a finance executive who understands numbers beyond reporting — someone who can use financial insight to drive business growth, strengthen financial control, and attract funding.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the company’s financial direction while managing day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the company’s financial strategy and provide guidance at board level.
Take control of daily financial operations including reporting, cash flow, and financial controls.
Develop and implement financial plans that support company growth and profitability.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
Build strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and potential investors.
Identify and secure financing opportunities, capital injections, and strategic investment.
Provide data-driven insights to support executive decision-making.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
Strengthen financial structures, systems, and accountability across the business.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent preferred).
Proven experience as a Finance Director, CFO, or senior financial executive.
Strong background in banking, corporate finance, or investment relations.
Experience within transport, logistics, infrastructure, or asset-heavy industries is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to raise capital, secure funding, or attract investors.
Strong commercial mindset with the ability to drive a numbers-led business.
Experience managing full financial operations in a growing company.
Excellent leadership and board-level communication skills.
