Logistics Officer

Job Summary
The Logistics Officer will beresponsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the delivery of finished furniture products from the factory to customers.
The role ensures working closely with production, warehouse, drivers, installers, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillmentwhilstmaintaining high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and schedule daily and weekly deliveries of finished furniture to customers.
Coordinate dispatch of furniture items from the factory or warehouse to Customers
Ensure all deliveries are completed within agreed timelines and service level expectations.
Monitor delivery status and track dispatched items until successful delivery and installation.
Prepare and manage delivery notes, waybills, invoices, and proof-of-delivery documentation.
Maintain accurate records of all dispatched and delivered items.
Assign delivery routes and schedules to drivers and installers.
Liaise with the production team to confirm readiness of finished furniture before dispatch.
Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure proper packaging and loading of items.
Coordinate with customer service to communicate delivery timelines and updates to customers.
Address delivery-related issues such as delays, damages, or incorrect items.
Ensure prompt resolution of delivery complaints in collaboration with relevant departments.
Follow up with customers post-delivery to confirm satisfaction where required.
Ensure furniture is properly packaged and handled to prevent damage in transit.
Enforce adherence to logistics, safety, and company policies.
Ensure use of appropriate PPE by logistics and delivery personnel.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly delivery performance reports.
Identify bottlenecks in delivery processes and recommend improvements.
Monitor logistics costs and support cost-optimization initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
OND / HND / B.Sc Degree in in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields
4 - 7 years’ experience in logistics or delivery coordination, preferably in ecommerce, furniture manufacturing or similar industries.
Experience managing last-mile delivery to end users is an added advantage.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
