Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical / Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems related to power and control system in a steel manufacturing company.
This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance: maintenance, and repair of Control system, high speed metal cut off units, High frequency induction heating system, pneumatic control.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical faults affecting production equipment: power cabling, Rectifier and inverter panels, HMI, HF welder, servo motors, encoders.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical work adheres to local regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations for seamless operations and high production efficiency.
Vendor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and contractors for procurement and servicing of electrical components.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and energy consumption.
Qualifications & Requirements
B.Sc or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 3 – 5 years of experience in electrical installations, preferably in tube mill or rebar manufacturing or industrial power systems.
Strong knowledge of Varable Frequency drive, Induction heating technology, HF welding, power distribution, and electrical safety regulations.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and work under minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to work onsite, outdoors, in a manufacturing set up.
