Quality Assurance Nurse


Location: Warri, Delta

Employment Type: Full-time


Job Summary


The Quality Assurance Nurse is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care across the facility.

The role focuses on monitoring clinical practices, enforcing compliance with healthcare standards and regulatory requirements, conducting audits, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.

The incumbent collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to identify gaps, implement corrective actions, and promote best practices that enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities


Conduct regular clinical and documentation audits to ensure compliance with established healthcare standards and policies.

Monitor patient care practices and identify gaps or areas requiring quality improvement.

Ensure adherence to regulatory, accreditation, and infection prevention and control standards.

Review incident reports, investigate variances, and support root cause analysis.

Develop, implement, and track quality improvement initiatives and action plans.

Provide guidance and training to clinical staff on quality and patient safety best practices.

Maintain accurate quality assurance records, reports, and dashboards.

Collaborate with department heads to drive continuous quality improvement across the facility.

Participate in policy review and updates to align with current clinical and regulatory requirements.

Support patient satisfaction monitoring and contribute to service improvement strategies.


Job Requirements


Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practicing license.

Minimum of 2–4 years’ clinical nursing experience; quality assurance or audit experience is an added advantage.

Strong knowledge of healthcare quality standards, patient safety, and infection prevention and control practices.

Familiarity with clinical audit processes, incident reporting, and quality improvement methodologies.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic data analysis.

Excellent analytical, documentation, and report-writing skills.

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with minimal supervision.

Relevant certifications in Quality Assurance, Patient Safety, or Healthcare Quality (added advantage).
