Project Quantity Surveyor
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description
Review the schedule of values submitted by the contractor, check the contractor’s labor and material costs and report the same against the target budget – weekly.
Preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents – daily.
Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best price and terms – daily.
Managing project budgets, including forecasting and monitoring costs – daily.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all project-related cost and financial transactions – daily.
Evaluate change orders, negotiate with the contractor, and recommend adjustments to the contract sum – daily.
Prepare regular statements showing the current expenditures to date, incorporating all change orders authorized and indicating the anticipated final cost – weekly.
Prepare a full and detailed final account incorporating all change orders and cash allowances adjustments – at project completion.
Measuring and valuing the completed works done on site and arranging for payment – weekly.
Produce reconciliation statements for management purposes – weekly.
Preparation of valuations and financial statement – monthly.
Preparing interim and final valuations, variations and claims of the construction site - monthly
Provide expert advice on procurement, risk management and cost-saving measures – weekly.
Prepare cost analyses and give cost information at all stages of the contract – daily.
Monitor and control costs throughout the project, identifying cost-saving opportunities – daily.
