Inventory Data Analyst

Description
The Inventory Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management across the warehouse and retail stores while using data analytics to track stock movement, sales patterns, shrinkage, and replenishment needs.
This role bridges warehouse operations and retail performance by providing data-driven insights that support stock availability, reduce losses, and improve overall inventory efficiency across physical stores and the e-commerce arm.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Control:
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for warehouse and all retail store locations
Conduct periodic stock counts, cycle counts, and full inventory audits
Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate variances
Ensure proper stock receiving, tagging, storage, and dispatch to retail stores
Track damaged, returned, and obsolete stock and provide regular reports
Data Analytics & Reporting:
Analyze inventory data, stock movement, and sales trends across stores
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and stock performance reports
Track key metrics such as stock turnover, sell-through rate, stock aging, and shrinkage
Identify slow-moving and fast-moving products and recommend redistribution or restocking
Develop dashboards and trackers to support retail decision-making
Retail Store Support & Replenishment:
Monitor stock levels across all stores and initiate timely replenishment from the warehouse
Collaborate with store managers to ensure optimal stock availability and avoid stock-outs
Support new store launches with stock planning and allocation
Align warehouse stock planning with promotional and seasonal retail activities
Systems & Process Improvement:
Maintain accurate inventory data on ERP, POS, or inventory management systems
Improve inventory tracking processes and reporting templates
Ensure proper documentation for stock transfers, GRNs, and dispatch records
Support automation of inventory reports and data tracking tools (Excel, ERP, dashboards)
Requirements
At least 3 years of utilizing data for inventory management within warehouse, retail, or supply chain operations; experience in the fashion or retail sector will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, dashboards) and other data analytical tools.
Experience working with retail inventory management tools
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
Salary
N250,000 / month.
