Accountant
Location: Yaba, Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage statutory reporting, tax filings (VAT, PAYE, WHT, Company Income Tax), and regulatory submissions.
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Budgeting & Financial Planning:
Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Support management with financial modeling and strategic planning.
Provide financial insights to guide operational decision-making.
Accounts Management:
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
Ensure timely bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Monitor cash flow and ensure optimal liquidity management.
Internal Controls & Risk Management:
Implement and maintain effective internal control systems.
Conduct periodic financial reviews and internal audits.
Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
Payroll & Tax Administration:
Oversee payroll processing and statutory remittances.
Ensure timely and accurate tax computations and payments.
Provide advisory support on tax planning and compliance matters.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy and timeliness of financial reports
Compliance with statutory and regulatory deadlines
Budget adherence and variance management
Effectiveness of internal control systems
Cash flow efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent certification).
2–3 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage,).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 / month.
