Job Summary
- Our client is currently seeking a competent and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to support our laboratory operations.
- The Medical Laboratory Technician will assist in performing routine laboratory tests, preparing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, and supporting Medical Laboratory Scientists to ensure efficient and accurate diagnostic services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting, labeling, and processing patient samples.
- Perform routine laboratory tests under supervision.
- Prepare reagents and laboratory equipment for use.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of laboratory specimens.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and reporting faults.
- Keep accurate records of laboratory activities and results.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and infection control standards.
- Support Medical Laboratory Scientists in diagnostic procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology
- Valid practicing license (where applicable)
- 1–2 years laboratory experience is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a hospital laboratory.
- Familiarity with standard laboratory safety procedures.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
