Operations / Logistics Manager
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Operations / Logistics Manager to coordinate the Company's logistics, movement of materials, vehicles, drivers and operational support across its projects and locations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily logistics and operational activities across projects and Company locations.
- Plan and monitor the movement and delivery of construction materials, equipment and other items.
- Coordinate Company drivers, vehicles and transportation schedules.
- Monitor vehicle usage, fuel consumption, maintenance and availability.
- Coordinate dispatch, deliveries, collections and other logistics requirements.
- Work closely with Project, Procurement, Warehouse, Batching Plant and other operational teams.
- Ensure materials and equipment reach the required locations on time.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, vehicle movements, fuel and related logistics activities.
- Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Coordinate vehicle and equipment maintenance and escalate major issues promptly.
- Ensure proper documentation for deliveries, waybills and movement of materials.
- Manage logistics vendors and service providers where applicable.
- Prepare regular operational and logistics reports for Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree / HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction, real estate or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of Lagos routes and logistics operations.
- Experience managing drivers, vehicles and operational support activities.
- Good knowledge of construction materials movement and site logistics is an advantage.
- Strong coordination, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Good Excel, documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to urgent operational requirements.
- Strong integrity, accountability and attention to detail.
Salary
