Operations Manager

Job Description
- We are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager who can take responsibility for the smooth running of our daily operations using clear systems, planning and accountability.
What you will do
- Take responsibility for the smooth running of G-Shoppers' daily operations from procurement and receiving through processing, packing and dispatch.
- Plan each day's operations based on customer orders, stock requirements and available manpower.
- Coordinate procurement, ensuring market runs happen early and the right items and quantities are purchased.
- Supervise receiving of meat, seafood and foodstuffs, ensuring quantity and quality are properly checked.
- Assign work to staff, follow up and ensure tasks are completed properly and on time.
- Identify stock shortages and operational problems early and resolve or escalate them before they affect customers.
- Enforce G-Shoppers' SOPs, hygiene standards and quality-control procedures.
- Ensure customer orders are properly processed and checked before dispatch.
- Monitor inventory, waste, damage and unexplained stock differences.
- Coordinate dispatch so completed orders leave according to schedule.
- Ensure opening, closing and operational checklists are completed.
- Submit clear daily operational reports to management.
What Success looks like in your first 90 days
- Orders are processed, checked and dispatched according to schedule.
- Daily operations are properly planned and completed within scheduled working hours, with unplanned late closing becoming the exception.
- Stock shortages are identified and addressed before they affect customer orders.
- Unexplained stock differences, waste and damage reduce month on month.
- Opening and closing procedures are consistently followed and documented.
- Operational problems are identified early and resolved or escalated before they disrupt orders.
- Management receives a clear written daily operations report.
Requirements
- A Degree
- Must currently reside in Port Harcourt.
- Must live in Eliozu or within reasonable commuting distance of Eliozu. Reliable and timely daily resumption is essential for this role.
Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 per month (depending on experinece, plus a performance-based incentive tied to timely dispatch, closing time and stock variance).
