Job Summary
- JobsTrueBond Global Investment Limited is seeking an experienced and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strategic and operational leadership across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the company's day-to-day operations.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, efficiency, and sustainable business performance.
- Oversee business operations across relevant departments and ensure effective coordination.
- Monitor financial and operational performance and provide regular reports to the GMD/Board.
- Ensure effective budgeting, cost control, resource allocation, and financial discipline.
- Work closely with Business Development, Finance, Operations, HR, Risk & Compliance, and other business units.
- Strengthen operational systems, policies, processes, and internal controls.
- Monitor insurance brokerage operations, client service delivery, policy administration, renewals, claims coordination, and relationships with underwriters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
- Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Lead, coach, and manage senior and middle-level managers to achieve organisational objectives.
- Establish and monitor KPIs and performance targets across business units.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimisation, and business expansion.
- Represent the organisation in strategic meetings with clients, underwriters, regulators, partners, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Must be a Chartered Accountant – ACA or ACCA.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline with 5 – 8 years of progressive professional experience, with significant managerial experience.
- Strong managerial experience in an insurance brokerage firm is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of insurance brokerage operations, underwriting relationships, claims, renewals, client management, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrable experience managing teams, budgets, business operations, and organisational performance.
- Strong financial management and commercial acumen.
- Excellent knowledge of corporate governance, internal controls, risk management, and operational processes.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Professional insurance qualification(s) such as ACII/ACIIN will be an added advantage.
The Ideal Candidate:
- The ideal candidate must be a Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with substantial managerial and operational experience within an insurance brokerage firm.
Salary
N500,000 - N600,000 per month.
