Finance Manager
Location: Lagos
Reports To: Managing Director
Job Summary
- We are looking to hire a Head of Finance will provide strategic financial leadership and oversee all financial activities of the company.
- The role is responsible for financial planning and analysis, budgeting, treasury management, financial reporting, tax compliance, risk management, and business performance.
- The successful candidate will ensure the company’s financial sustainability while supporting growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy in line with corporate objectives.
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Manage treasury operations, cash flow and banking relationships
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective financial controls, policies, and risk management frameworks.
- Establish and maintain accurate financial record.
- Monitor financial performance and provide strategic reports/ recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Oversee accounts payable and fixed assets.
- Implement audit recommendations.
- Provide financial insights and reports to the Executive Management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Partner with retail operations, procurement, and sales teams to optimize costs and improve financial performance.
- Ensure prompt payment to vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure monthly reconciliation of bank statement with the ledger and timely posting of report
- Oversee prompt lodgement of transactions to the bank (Cash and Cheques).
- Ensure daily posting of financial transactions
- Maintain an accurate financial record.

- Timely and accurate financial reporting

Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role.
Professional Certifications
- Candidates must possess one or more of the following recognized professional qualifications:
- ACCA – Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
- ACA – Associate Chartered Accountant
- Additional qualifications such as an MBA (Finance), CFA, or CPA will be an added advantage.

Salary
N500,000 - N700,000 per month.
