Role Overview
- As our team continues to grow, we are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Architect to take a leading role in our architectural and spatial design work.
- The successful candidate will support projects across both markets and help maintain the high standards of design, technical excellence, and project delivery for which the business is known.
- The Lead Architect will take responsibility for the architectural direction and spatial planning of commercial interior design projects from concept through to delivery.
- The role will involve overseeing concept development, spatial planning, technical design, and architectural coordination, while ensuring projects meet creative, technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
- You will work closely with senior management, interior designers, consultants, contractors, and project teams to deliver functional, inspiring, and commercially successful environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the architectural development of commercial interior design projects.
- Develop and review spatial layouts, construction drawings, technical details, and related documentation.
- Ensure architectural elements are fully integrated with interior design concepts and project requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with interior designers, contractors, engineers, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Review designs to ensure compliance with applicable building regulations, health and safety requirements, accessibility standards, and other relevant legislation.
- Present architectural concepts, design proposals, and project updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support tender processes, contractor coordination, and construction planning where required.
- Provide architectural input and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Help identify and resolve design and technical issues during project development and delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials, construction methods, technologies, regulations, and industry trends.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6years' professional experience in architecture, interior architecture, or commercial interior design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in commercial interior projects, such as retail, hospitality, workplace, or similar environments.
- Excellent understanding of spatial planning, construction methods, technical detailing, and design development.
- Strong understanding of building regulations, accessibility requirements, and relevant health and safety standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong design, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining a high standard of design and technical delivery.
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
Salary
N800,000 - N1,000,000 per month.
