Accountant
Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Manage petty cash and expense documentation
- Support payroll
- Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
- Carry out regular reconciliations of bank accounts, balance sheet items, and other key financial accounts.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules and documentation and responding to audit queries.
- Manage tax computations, VAT returns, and other statutory filings accurately and within required timelines.
- Strengthen internal control processes to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
- ICAN qualification or professional certification is an added advantage
- Experience supporting audits and working with internal control and risk management processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
