Quality Control / Quality Assurance Officer

Role Overview
- We are looking for a technically strong QC / QA Officer with a Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related background and practical manufacturing quality-control experience.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that raw materials, production processes and finished products consistently meet required specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and assess incoming raw materials.
- Conduct quality tests on raw materials and finished products.
- Monitor quality throughout the production process.
- Maintain laboratory, inspection and quality records.
- Identify defects, deviations and non-conformities.
- Investigate root causes of quality issues.
- Develop and follow corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with Production to prevent recurring quality problems.
- Monitor product parameters including dimensions, density, bonding, surface finish and other applicable specifications.
- Develop and maintain QC checklists and procedures.
- Monitor appropriate storage and handling practices.
- Investigate and respond to customer quality complaints.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Prepare quality reports and recommendations.
What We’re Looking For
- BSc / HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related discipline.
- 3–5+ years of practical QC/QA experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable laboratory/testing experience.
- Experience in chemicals, polymers, insulation, plastics, building materials, steel or related manufacturing is an advantage.
- Experience with raw-material testing and finished-product assessment.
- Strong analytical and investigative ability.
- Knowledge of root-cause analysis and CAPA.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and address quality issues before products leave the factory.
- Ability to work closely with Production while maintaining independent quality standards.
