Role Overview
- The Social Media Manager will own the organization’s social media presence end to end, from strategy and content planning to execution, community management, and performance analysis.
- This role requires a creative thinker with strong editorial judgement and a firm grasp of platform-specific best practices.
- The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping how the brand is perceived and experienced online.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with overall brand and marketing objectives.
- Plan, create, and schedule engaging content across platforms including Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Manage day-to-day community engagement, including responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and on-brand manner.
- Monitor social media analytics and prepare regular performance reports with actionable recommendations.
- Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging content formats to keep the brand competitive.
- Coordinate with design, content, and external creative partners to ensure high-quality visual and written output.
- Manage paid social media campaigns, including budget allocation and performance optimization.
- Handle social media crisis situations professionally, escalating where necessary.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, Communications, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in social media management, content creation, digital marketing, or a related role.
- Working knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.
- Proficiency in content creation and editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong creative and editorial judgement with excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple platforms and priorities simultaneously.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and with external partners.
Salary
N300,000 monthly.
