Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans in line with the approved curriculum.
- Teach students using effective instructional methods that promote understanding and academic excellence.
- Assess, evaluate, and monitor students' academic progress.
- Prepare examination questions, assignments, and continuous assessment records.
- Maintain accurate student records and submit reports as required.
- Manage classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, school activities, and professional development programmes.
- Provide guidance and academic support to students.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and school management to achieve educational goals.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (B.Ed., B.Sc./B.A. with PGDE or equivalent) in the relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in a secondary school.
- Excellent mastery of the subject area.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of lesson planning and student assessment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment.
- Ability to use modern teaching methods and basic ICT tools for teaching.
- Ability to prepare students for WAEC, NECO, and other external examinations.
