HR Officer

Job Overview
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven HR Officer to join our team in the logistics sector. This role requires hands-on HR experience within logistics, transport, fleet, or supply chain operations.
- The HR Officer will serve as a key liaison between management and employees, ensuring HR policies and practices are effectively implemented in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Because of the specific operational demands, hands-on experience within the logistics, transport, or supply chain industry is strictly required and mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
- SourcingQualified Talent Through Staffing AgenciesManage end-to-end recruitment for logistics-specific and fleet-related roles.
- Coordinate onboarding, induction, confirmation, and exit processes.
- Partner with recruitment vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality candidates.
Workforce & Shift Management;
- Oversee attendance tracking, roster scheduling, and leave management.
- Monitor absenteeism and ensure accurate reporting.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR matters across drivers, warehouse crew, and fleet staff.
- Address grievances, resolve workplace conflicts, and maintain positive employee relations.
- Investigate employee relations issues and recommend appropriate resolutions.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to Nigerian labor laws, industry regulations, and internal HSE standards.
- Support compliance with disciplinary procedures and HR policies.
Performance Management:
- HiringExecutive Coaching ServicesImplement and monitor KPIs for drivers, and fleet staff.
- Assist in performance reviews and disciplinary processes.
Payroll & Benefits Support:
- Collaborate with finance to process monthly payroll, tracking overtime, allowances, and statutory deductions.
HR Administration & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate personnel records and HR databases.
- Prepare HR metrics, recruitment dashboards, and workforce reports for senior management.
- Coordinate employee engagement, welfare, and training activities.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- Professional Certification: ACIPM
- Gender: Male (Preferable)
- Industry Experience: 3–5 years proven HR experience strictly within logistics, transport, freight forwarding, or supply chain.
- Candidates without logistics experience will not be considered.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and industrial relations practices.
- Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- High resilience, adaptability, and readiness to handle operational emergencies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
