Head of Human Resources
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

About the Role
- The successful candidate will lead the HR function, manage employee relations, ensure statutory compliance, and provide strategic HR support to the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Administration: Oversee monthly payroll preparation, employee deductions, benefits, and payroll records.
- Union Management: Manage relationships and negotiations with employee unions and ensure harmonious labour relations.
- Expatriate Management: Manage expatriate documentation, onboarding, work permits, immigration requirements, and related employee matters.
- Industrial Relations: Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, conflict resolution, and collective bargaining.
- Legal & Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and statutory requirements, includingPENCOM, NSITF, ITF, PAYE, and other applicable regulations.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, and employee development.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR reports.
- Provide management with HR analytics and recommendations to support decision-making.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline with at least 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience inpayroll, union/industrial relations, expatriate management, and statutory compliance.
- Good knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Excel functions, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF functions, data analysis, and HR reporting.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- CIPM certification or other relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate:
- Candidates with strong experience in manufacturing, factory HR operations, union management, and industrial relationswill be highly preferred.
Salary
N300,000 - N500,000 monthly.
