Description
- The Finance & Accounts Manager is responsible for driving financial stewardship, business performance, and financial governance.
- The role provides strategic and operational leadership in financial reporting, budgeting, treasury management, financial planning, risk management, compliance, and process optimization to support sustainable growth, informed decision-making, and organizational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance, profitability, cash flow, and budget utilization.
Budgeting & Financial Planning:
- Coordinate annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Conduct variance analysis, scenario planning, and financial modelling.
- Support strategic initiatives through robust financial evaluation and business case development.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
- Manage liquidity, cash flow forecasting, and treasury operations.
- Optimize working capital and banking relationships.
- Ensure timely settlement of financial obligations and investment monitoring.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:
- Oversee receivables recovery and payables management.
- Ensure financial transactions are properly authorized, documented, and reconciled.
- Monitor vendor balances and outstanding commitments.
Tax, Compliance & Financial Governance:
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, regulatory, and financial reporting requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and governance practices
- Provide proactive advice on emerging regulatory and compliance matters.
Audit & Assurance:
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
- Drive timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of recommendations.
- Maintain audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
Financial Systems & Process Improvement:
- Champion process automation, digital finance initiatives, and continuous improvement.
- Enhance financial reporting systems, controls, and data integrity.
- Drive operational efficiency through technology-enabled finance solutions
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- A Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- 7–9 years of relevant professional experience, with substantial experience in Finance & Accounts.
- ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA or equivalent professional certification required
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity within a reputable organisation.
- Demonstrable experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, financial analysis, audit coordination, and internal controls.
- Experience in preparing management accounts, financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, financial modelling tools, Advanced Excel, and financial analytics platforms
