Account and Finance Officer

Job Summary
- We are looking for a smart, detail-oriented and proactive Accounts & Finance Officer to support the financial management and accounting operations of our consulting business.
- The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing bookkeeping activities, supporting tax compliance and filings, monitoring transactions, and providing general financial and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and financial records.
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and transaction recording.
- Prepare and maintain invoices, receipts, payment records, and other financial documentation.
- Monitor income, expenses, receivables, and payables.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial records regularly.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and management accounts.
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
- Prepare and support statutory tax filings and other regulatory financial obligations.
- Maintain proper records for tax and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with banks, vendors, clients, auditors, tax consultants, and other relevant stakeholders when required.
- Maintain an organised and accurate financial filing system.
- Provide financial information and reports required by management.
- Support audit and other financial review processes.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience. Fresh graduates with strong accounting fundamentals may also be considered.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of the Nigerian tax system and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision.
