Junior Accountant

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary 

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support our finance and accounting operations.
  • The successful candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other accounting documents.
  • Perform bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
  • Assist with payroll and expense processing where required.
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and support payment follow-ups.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Ensure accounting records comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Assist auditors and senior finance staff with required documentation and information.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5years of relevant accounting experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with accounting software is an advantage.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling financial information.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

What We Offer

  • N200,000 - N300,000 monthly.
